R.I.P. to my 2018 Fantasy Baseball Season.
So much hope at the beginning of the season, so much promise. But, such as life, nothing in baseball is a guarantee. This is especially true when it comes to pitchers.
I know it’s only one guy, but Alex Reyes was supposed to be my ace, my mid-season savior, my man. Now he’s bordering on being the guy who was supposed to be the next big thing, but kept getting injured.
So what do I do now?
Exactly. There is no one to replace an ace on the waiver wire. Should I try to make a trade for one? No. That would involve mortgaging my future and I’ m not even sure I’d crack the top five this year. My only hope is that Johnny Cueto comes back strong. A GUY CAN DREAM.
There is a silver lining, though. CBS Sports updated their fantasy app with what they’re calling ‘several changes to colors, text, and icons to bring a much more vibrant experience.’ Thanks, CBS. Maybe I won’t be as depressed when I look at a more vibrant Disabled List!
