King of the Sports Movie

Everyone needs to know their wheelhouse. And one man who knows his is Kevin Costner. His wheelhouse is sports movies. There isn’t another actor on this planet that I would rather watch in a sports movie than him.

My wife questions whether or not he’s a good actor, I say that it doesn’t matter because he knows his audience and he knows what works.

To that end, I decided to breakdown a few of Costner’s most notable sports movie roles and decide which was the most Costner-esque.

Fantasy Baseball Review #4

R.I.P. to my 2018 Fantasy Baseball Season.

Reyes

So much hope at the beginning of the season, so much promise. But, such as life, nothing in baseball is a guarantee. This is especially true when it comes to pitchers.

I know it’s only one guy, but Alex Reyes was supposed to be my ace, my mid-season savior, my man. Now he’s bordering on being the guy who was supposed to be the next big thing, but kept getting injured.

Ghostbusters Original Soundtrack Album – A Personal Retrospective

Ghostbusters is something I’ve loved since I was five years old. Not only have I seen the movie countless times, but I’ve listened to the soundtrack on multiple platforms including cassette, vinyl (which I borrowed from my local library), compact disc, and digital.

So when I was perusing the vinyl section of a local music shop and came across the 30th Anniversary re-release of the soundtrack, I felt nostalgically obligated to purchase it.

What follows is a track by track review that my five year old self never knew would exist.

Fantasy Baseball Review #3

Good news, bad news situation for my team. Good news is that I’ve moved up to 9th place (no more cellar dwelling for this guy!). The bad news is that Alex Reyes returned only to land on the DL after pitching only 4 innings in his debut.

My team is just kinda floating by at the moment. Welington Castillo got himself suspended (c’mon, brah, it’s 2018). Ryan Zimmerman is just chillin’ on the DL, along with Johnny Cueto, Zach Britton, and Adam Ottavino.

But hey, Joe Panik should be activated today! He’ll certainly give me a real boost!
